The following solid waste materials are currently recyclable in Morgan County:

• Paper*, including (almost all types of paper are recyclable)

  Phone books,
  Newspapers,
  Magazines and other slicks,
       including paper backs),
  Office paper, catalogs, cereal & detergent boxes, junk mail,
  Cardboard (please flatten boxes before drop off)

  *  Shredded material may stick to plastic bags or containers and in the gentle breeze blow out of the truck and about the ground. To prevent this from occurring, please use paper grocery bags for your shredded materials, or a small cardboard box taped shut will work also.

  We appreciate those who recycle and we want you to know your privacy is respected. All material recycled as paper or cardboard goes to the Maryland Paper Company in Williamsport, MD., and ultimately ends up as new tar paper.

  Brown

• Cans, including

  Aluminum,
  Bimetal (food cans)

Please note: at the moment we are unable to accept plastic. So, please no plastics!

Please feel free to report dump sites to the Morgan County Solid Waste Authority (MCSWA) at 304-258-8718 or e-mail. We would be happy to visit the location to obtain the GPS coordinates and make the report to the WV DEP for you. The State of West Virginia has provided the MCSWA with a Global Positioning System (GPS) for this purpose.
